Release history

Every release.

Newest first. The customer version, with what to do, is on the What's new page.

  1. Nov 2, 2026

Warnings on weekly-only plans. The single big weekly card gets the amber or red outline and dot when you are ahead of pace. (0.5.2)

  2. Nov 2, 2026

Clearer warnings on every screen. Two-account and Claude + Codex cards get the outline and dot; Claude and Codex cards share one rounded edge. (0.5.1)

  3. Oct 31, 2026

Two Claude accounts on one screen, each with a name. Every account shows exactly the limits its plan has: weekly, 5-hour or Team monthly. Claude + Codex gets names and more room. (0.5.0)

  4. Oct 30, 2026

Weekly-only plans. Claude Pro and Max no longer have a 5-hour limit; the meter shows the weekly limit on its own instead of an error. (0.4.7)

  5. Oct 29, 2026

A used-up 5-hour or weekly limit shows as 100% instead of an error. One dropped check retries quietly. (0.4.6)

  6. Sep 24, 2026

Wi-Fi recovers dropped links by itself, with clearer Wi-Fi error reasons. (0.4.5)

  7. Sep 23, 2026

The Status screen shows why checks fail; the usage screen holds through outages under 10 minutes. (0.4.4)

  8. Sep 22, 2026

Recovers from stalled downloads, faster recovery from missed checks, and a more reliable screen on/off button. (0.4.3)

  9. Sep 21, 2026

Codex shows the budget left, matching the Codex CLI. (0.4.2)

  10. Sep 21, 2026

Codex: reads plans that report a single limit, like ChatGPT Pro. (0.4.1)

  11. Sep 14, 2026

OpenAI Codex support. Pick Claude or OpenAI Codex at setup; a Codex device signs in on its own screen, in blue. (0.4.0)

  12. Aug 28, 2026

Re-detects the time zone every 6 hours, so daylight saving changes correct themselves. (0.3.2)

  13. Aug 23, 2026

A sturdier way to find updates. (0.3.1)

  14. Jun 17, 2026

Team and Enterprise monthly usage screen with a forecast. (0.3.0)

  15. May 23-24, 2026

Battery level in the status bar, true-black background, and steadier recovery after outages. (0.2.5 to 0.2.8)

  16. May 20, 2026

First release with automatic updates. (0.2.2)

FAQ

Questions.

Does my codeMeter update itself?

Yes. It checks every 6 hours while plugged in and on Wi-Fi, and installs new firmware by itself, free.

Do I need to turn on new features?

Most appear by themselves. Two Claude accounts is a setup choice: hold B about 7 seconds and pick 2 Claude accounts.

What if an update goes wrong?

If it fails to start, the device rolls back to the previous version. A USB recovery page is at bricekevin.github.io/fw.

Is there a subscription?

No. You buy the device once. Firmware updates are free and install themselves over Wi-Fi; if an update ever fails to start, it rolls back to the previous version.

Stop guessing.
